What if…

…my stepdad hadn’t gotten sick?

Would my Mom be happy now?  What would my sons name be?  Would I have gone to that Christmas party in his place and met my husband?

…all of my past pregnancies had worked out?

I would have 6 kids with a 7th on the way.  But would any of them be my perfect Monkey?

…we had stayed in Denver and decided not to move to Texarkana?

Would we still be living in a tiny apartment and sending Monkey to daycare each day?

…my ex hadn’t been such a douche?

Would I have still left him and found the love of my life?

…the guys at the plant hadn’t seen a sap while I was pregnant?

Would I still have taken Daisy home with us even after Hubby protested?

Watching this Flash Forward lately has me thinking.   Some people really believe that our life is a pre destined set of events.  I don’t know that I believe that.  Sometimes maybe I do a little but for the most part I really don’t.

I have always said that everything happens for a reason.  I really believe that.  Not because of some pre-mapped life but because I think that everything makes something else occur.  If any of the what if’s above had happened, then my life wouldn’t be where it is right now.  It would be changed and different.

Would I have missed the opportunity to meet my husband if my step dad hadn’t been too sick to go to the Christmas party because of Chemo?

If I hadn’t had miscarriage after miscarriage, would I even be with my husband now if I had 3 kids with my ex?

Would I be able to afford to stay home with Monkey each day if we hadn’t taken the opportunity to move here?

It all boils down to 3 very simple statements.

I have a wonderful sexy husband that would do anything for us.

Our son is truly one kick ass baby boy.

Our two fur babies will always have my heart.

This is my family.  Even if it is in this town that I hate, this is my family.  And if any of those what if’s had come to fruition, would I be in these shoes now?  It’s scary to think that I wouldn’t be.

What events could have kept you from where you are now?  What are you truly thankful for?

And I am back!!! Miss me? Dear Friday So and So…

Dear So and So...

Sorry for falling off the grid there.  Jimmy and I are sick, AGAIN, for the 2nd time in a month.  Yay germs.  😦

Without further ado… here is Friday’s Dear So and So!!  Have a great weekend!!

——————————————–

Dear Baby or Babies to be,

Please let me see you on the ultrasound next week.  It was disheartening to not be able to see you yesterday on the ultrasound.  I am trying to stay positive and hopeful since your numbers are still climbing and suggesting you are doing really well.  Just give me a sign.  K?

Anxiously awaiting good news,

Mama

——————————————–

Dear Sinus Infection number two,

Seriously?  Again?  Seriously???  It’s been like what… two weeks since you last attacked me!?!?!  Oh.My.Gawwwd.

You suck,

Cass

——————————————–

Dear Monkey,

I am so sorry that I can’t make you feel better.  I am so sorry that you take after your Mama and want complete undivided attention when you are sick.  I understand that you feel the need to be held, cuddled, and smothered in hugs and kisses 24/7 when you are sick.  I don’t even mind that you wipe your very alarmingly green boogers on my shirt.  This is how bad I feel that you are sick and that I can’t fix it.

Not the Super Mommy Fixer of All Things that I thought I was,

Mama

——————————————–

Dear Laundry,

Please do yourself.  Cause I am on sabbatical.

Thanks much,

Cass

——————————————–

Dear Messy House,

Please clean yourself.  Seriously.  Ugh.

Cass

——————————————–

Dear To Do List,

Why must you mock me?

Boooooo,

Cass

Dear Homeless Man from the Taco Bell yesterday,

When you walked up to my car, I tried to act nonchalant and didn’t rush to roll up my window even though my snobby side told me to.  And when you asked me if I would be so kind as to spare a few bucks or get you some lunch, I agreed because you looked like you needed a yummy Taco Bell lunch, so I ordered you up 3 fat burritos.  However, I must say I felt a bit uncomfortable when you asked to get into my truck, and that is of course why I declined your invite.  But you agreed to meet me around the side by the pickup window to retrieve your lunch, so I let it go.  I really beginning to get the heebie jeebies though when I looked around to give you your lunch and you were nowhere to be found.  Now my panicky side is left to wonder A) Where the hell did you go?  B) What was your real intent on coming to my window and asking me to get in to my truck? And C) What do I do with these three burritos??

Thank you for making my good deed feel like something that could have resulted in me being on the 10 o’clock news.  You are a creepy, creepy man that will haunt my dreams now.  I just pray you were too drunk or strung out to remember that I agreed to buy you lunch.

Please don’t ever approach my truck again and freak me the hell out,

Cass

Happy Random Ranting Dear So and So!

Dear So and So...

——————————————–

Huh?

Dear Random Reader,

I am sorry that when you searched for “urinate front yard” you found my blog.

Sucks to be a friggin weirdo you,

Cass

——————————————–

Dear Baby to be,

Hi!  Even though you are only an itty bitty little blob of cells right now, I am SOOOO glad you are growing now.  I am sending lots and lots of prayer and crossed fingers and hopeful, positive, happy vibes your way.  Keep growing like you are.

Meet you next year,

Mommy

Dear Doctor,

Even though I kinda want to strangle you most of the time.  Right now you seemed to have proved me wrong and indeed have helped me achieve my goal.  Now I don’t have to run you over if you walk in front of my car.

You win,

Cass

——————————————–

Dear Gram,

I am so sorry that I am so boring and that your three week visit is consisting of grocery shopping, watching me cook dinner, watching me feed the baby, and watching me change the baby, and watching me chase the baby, and watching me put the baby in time-out AGAIN.  Feel free to clean when you are bored, that is *ahem* what I do.  *nod*

Boring,

Cass

Monkey-7942

Dear Monkey,

Ya know how sometimes Mommy’s face gets bright red and steam comes out of her ears and she looks like her head is going to explode?  And how sometimes she throws herself on the floor and starts kicking and screaming and… oh wait… silly Mommy!  That isn’t Mommy who throws herself on the floor… that is YOUUUUUUUU.  But in case you were wondering… THAT is why Mommy’s face gets bright red and steam comes out of her ears and why she looks like her head is going to explode.  Keep that in mind in case Mommy’s head suddenly goes boom.

So loving this lovely terrible two phase that we are entering together,

Mommy

——————————————–

Dear Cass,

Why must you giggle like a school girl when you read your stats?  Is it just because for the last FOUR days, yes FOUR DAYS in a row, you have had exactly 69 views?  It is coinsidence?  Yeah I didn’t think so either.

Giggle if you must,

Cass

Happy Random (and pregnant) Monday :)

Happy Monday!

So for a late blog post today I am just going to ramble a bit.  We all know that is my thing.  I didn’t really have a blog prepared so this is last minute blabber.

The window people showed up to replace my windows today for the 3rd time. The thing was that they showed up with no appointment just after 8 this morning.  So like a good housewife, I answered the door in my nightgown.  (My hot pink nightgown complete with embroidered cats all over it, even.  You say weird, I say Sexy, tomatoe, tomahtoe) I was irritated that they showed up with NO appointment, especially after they already didn’t show up for the appointment I had last week on Friday (with no call or anything).  So I gave in and allowed them to stay because there was no telling when I would get them back again.  I have been battling with these people since early June to get my windows replaced.  So after rushing around to get dressed and clean up a bit so they could make their way TO the windows through the land-o-toys that are being replaced in the playroom, they finally got started on the windows.  They pulled the first one out… and guess what?  They AGAIN ordered the wrong windows.  Wrong dimensions, wrong thickness, even wrong design.  Shocker! So after over an hour of messing around they finally got the OLD yucky window back into place.  That was an hour that I won’t get back. *eyeroll*

My Mother in Law had a dream that I was pregnant with triplets… three girls!  That’s a lot of pink.  It made me giggle.

I have taken three home pregnancy tests.  They appear to all be faint, but positive.  The doctor assures me that I would not get any line if it was not positive.  And all three are for sure showing a line.  I go in tomorrow to have a beta blood test done to verify that I am indeed pregnant.  Say a prayer/ cross your fingers/ hope for me.  Pleeease??  I know I am pregnant but it will feel so much better when the doctor confirms it with the beta test.

How was everyone’s weekend???

about moi…

Hi, my name is Cass. I am married to an amazing man who loves me unconditionally. I’m a stay at home mom to a rockin’ 2 year old boy who I call Monkey. I have an 12 year old step-daughter who lives in another state. We miss her daily. We also have two fur babies, Daisy and Jazz, who keep us on our toes. They are awesome!

I am a complete goofball, a photographer and a constant out loud thinker. I am a grammar challenged, vulgar, cursing, sex obsessed Big Mama fumbling through life. Among other things, I battle PCOS causing infertility, Bi Polar, Anxiety and OCD.

Currently I am riding the fertility roller coaster in an attempt to make Monkey #2. This blog is about a little of everything. I hope you enjoy. Read at your own risk!
