Some News and Daily Photo

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

Did everyone have a fantastic Christmas???  I did!

I don’t have a lot of time to say a lot of what I want to say, so here is a running ramble update. 🙂

Got a Kindle, a tattoo, a Nintendo, UNDER THE DOME (yay) and tons of other FAB gifts, I think I am totally hot shit now; we are going to Colorado for 16 days WOOT!; can’t do fertility this month *frown*; have to wait till next month; have to pack and get ready to go cause we leave on Thursday morning; have tons of pics to post; most likely won’t be able to get to a computer while in Colorado; but going to try to have lots of posts ready to go before we leave; will miss you all terribly, but Colorado is going to be THE BOMB and yes I still say the bomb because I am wicked cool like that. Rad. 🙂  Any questions? lol

I will leave you with this because if it doesn’t make you smile and laugh out loud then clearly you have no soul.  lol And I want to hear about how much you LOVE it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it. 🙂

*perfection*

Did Santa please you this year?  What are your plans for New Years Eve?  Any resolutions you plan to make this year?

*Love* vol 3

Today is another installment of things that I Love.  Because I love a lot and I want YOU to know it.  So, here goes.

I *LOVE* that Monkey is finally sleeping in his bed again.  I just didn’t want to see him sleeping like this anymore…

That can’t be comfortable

I am soooooo glad that phase seems to be over!

I *LOVE* when he is actually sleeping and not climbing the walls and trying to give me a heart attack out of fear of him falling. Which lemme tell you is his new favorite past time.  Anything within reach will be climbed.  ANYTHING.

I *LOVE* having a video baby monitor too.  Because it is a requirement for having children if you ask me.  Right up there with diapers and child safety locks.

I *LOVE* that Christmas is a few days away and everything is wrapped and under the tree.  And the Ham is in the fridge ready to be cooked.

I *LOVE* that I don’t have to go out again until AFTER Christmas.  I could stay in my pajamas for the next 5 days if I choose.  I am going to have to ponder that.

I *LOVE* web cams.  This makes it possible for us to share our Christmas with our families in not one, not two, not three, but in FOUR other houses this year.  It makes it a ton of fun and it’s the cheapest airfare! 🙂

I *LOVE* whip cream.  It seems to be my new “must have” on my grocery list each week alongside bread and milk.  I put it on hot tea, hot coffee and hot cocoa.

I *LOVE* my awesome Christmas mug that I found a Target this year and will surely be using it year round.  Even though, no matter how hard I try, I cannot make out what that swirly text at the top is supposed to say.  It looks to me like it says… Money Chicloode???  *shrug*

I *LOVE* my Christmas Decos this year.  This, by far, has been my most proud year.  Everything is just perfect.  IMO.

The tree and mantle (still waiting on the new stockings to arrive)

Dr Suess assumes his usual position atop the tree

Even Monkey got his own tree this year!

I *LOVE* that we are finally getting over our colds.  Thanks to a couple humidifiers and some liquid Vicks.  I didn’t even know they had that. Did you?  Cool stuff 🙂

I *LOVE* when Monkey’s playroom is actually CLEAN…

*Gasp*

I *LOVE* that hubby is going to have an extended weekend this weekend.  Yay!!!

.

This last one is a repeat from my very first *LOVE* blog.

I *LOVE* my wedding rings.  And I especially love when someone comments about them.  They are so sparkly and still make me grin from ear to ear.  And even though I say “aww, shucks, thanks” and pretend to brush off the compliment, I am really thinking “oh yeah, you wish you were me right now, don’t you, booya!” *blink*

So in addition… I *LOVE* that everyone requested pictures. Yay!

Please keep in mind that I am NO Molly Yarchin or anything.  She could make these rings look fantastic.  But I, on the other hand, have never photographed a sparkly diamond ring.  More importantly I learned that I SUCK at it.

Ok (she says through gritted teeth) here you go…

God, are my hands REALLY that hairy? I look like a gorilla.  HELLO MAN HANDS! *gag*

Here is a little better angle.

Hope that was all you hoped for. *grin*

I will most likely be MIA until next week.  Hubby is supposed to have some time off and I am going to SOAK it up baby!!  WoooHooo!

What do you love?

Merry Christmas!!!

(or whatever your holiday celebrations may be)

I’m Late Random Thoughts

If you want to play along with Random Tuesday Wednesday Thoughts, go here to get the widget and add your name to Mr. Linky.

~~~~~
So I’m LATE!  Not like that, although I soooo wish.  I am late with Random Thoughts Tuesday!  I just was too lazy busy to get to it yesterday.  Actually, I had a blog half started but never completed it.  Procrastinate much?
Are you TOTALLY stoked for the holidays?!?! I am! I love this time of year!  The Thanksgiving, The Christmas, The New Years.  YAY!!!
Thanksgiving was GRUB, and of course it helps that I am a FAB cook.  The meal came out beautifully and I am still amazed at myself for being able to do it all without feeling even a tiny bit stressed about it.
We got all of the inside decorations done.  The tree and all the pretty shiny lights and stuff everywhere.  I will take pictures this week and show you, since I KNOW you all have nothing better to do than look at pictures of my house all done up in it’s Sunday Christmas Best!  *snicker*
As you can tell, I am sort of in bitch mode right now.  Not sure why, it just happened.
As far as the outside lights, we haven’t put them up yet.  And by “we” I of course mean Hubby.  Cause of several reasons.
One… It’s outside of the house.  And this means, the possibility of creepy crawly things dramatically increases outside of the home.  Not my bag baby.
Two… I can’t stand on a chair without getting sick.  This means that my chances of standing on a ladder and climbing up on the house are NON EXISTENT.
And Three… watching anyone else doing anything dangerous (ie: standing on a ladder) makes me anxious and bossy.  So in the case of poor Hubby, then I would be out there all “be CAREFUL!”, “Wait, that isn’t safe”, “do you really think you should put that there?”, “is that safe?”, “stop rolling your eyes at me!”, “I AM ONLY TRYING TO HELP YOU! WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!” and so on.
Get it?  Yeah, yeah poor poor Hubby.  Moving on.
So you see why I don’t participate in the outdoor decorations?  But I of course want to see the lights on my house, so that means Hubby wins the honor of putting them up.  And lucky for me, he doesn’t complain about it.
And actually he does such a good job that the neighbors get jealous.  Here is a pic from last year.
We are the house on the left.  LOL
HAHA!! Seriously, can you imagine?  That is awesome!  Although I can’t imagine that dudes light bill!  Talk about overboard on the lawn ornaments! Sheesh!
The Fed Ex Guy just showed up, and for the 2nd day in a row he had to see my in my pink flowered MuuMuu.  Poor guy.  I have killed his sex drive for the better part of a week I would guess.
Are you searching for that perfect gift?  Not having a lot of luck?  This is a must have for those chilly winter days.  I am getting them for everyone in my family.
I need to get some editing done so that I can post some Daily Photo Blogs again.  I just haven’t had a chance.
Hubby got me a Nintendo DSi for Christmas!!  And I got it early.  Early as in, the day after Thanksgiving.  Schweeeeeeeeet!
It’s lots of fun, so I have been playing Brain Games (Not Mind Games, although that is fun too *wink*) and Puzzle games a lot.  I feel like an old lady though, trying to figure out how to get it going.  Give me a Pong or a  Nintendo and some Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt and I can kick some ass! But anything manufactured after 1987 is foreign to me.
OMG, do you remember Coleco?  Did you have one?  We did.  I used to play Mousetrap and Smurfs on mine.  LOVED those games.
Monkey is boycotting food again.  I think he is teething though because he is gnawing on his hands for the majority of the day now.  But yesterday I could only get him to eat a Tater Tot and an Apple.  I am so worried about this kid.  His dad and I love food! Why doesn’t he?  It’s weird.
Ok, now I am hungry after talking about food.  Haha!
Have a fantastic Wednesday!
What if…
…my stepdad hadn’t gotten sick?
Would my Mom be happy now?  What would my sons name be?  Would I have gone to that Christmas party in his place and met my husband?
…all of my past pregnancies had worked out?
I would have 6 kids with a 7th on the way.  But would any of them be my perfect Monkey?
…we had stayed in Denver and decided not to move to Texarkana?
Would we still be living in a tiny apartment and sending Monkey to daycare each day?
…my ex hadn’t been such a douche?
Would I have still left him and found the love of my life?
…the guys at the plant hadn’t seen a sap while I was pregnant?
Would I still have taken Daisy home with us even after Hubby protested?
Watching this Flash Forward lately has me thinking.   Some people really believe that our life is a pre destined set of events.  I don’t know that I believe that.  Sometimes maybe I do a little but for the most part I really don’t.
I have always said that everything happens for a reason.  I really believe that.  Not because of some pre-mapped life but because I think that everything makes something else occur.  If any of the what if’s above had happened, then my life wouldn’t be where it is right now.  It would be changed and different.
Would I have missed the opportunity to meet my husband if my step dad hadn’t been too sick to go to the Christmas party because of Chemo?
If I hadn’t had miscarriage after miscarriage, would I even be with my husband now if I had 3 kids with my ex?
Would I be able to afford to stay home with Monkey each day if we hadn’t taken the opportunity to move here?
It all boils down to 3 very simple statements.
I have a wonderful sexy husband that would do anything for us.
Our son is truly one kick ass baby boy.
Our two fur babies will always have my heart.
This is my family.  Even if it is in this town that I hate, this is my family.  And if any of those what if’s had come to fruition, would I be in these shoes now?  It’s scary to think that I wouldn’t be.
What events could have kept you from where you are now?  What are you truly thankful for?
*Love* vol 2
The lovely DC Princess does a weekly blog called I LOVE Fridays.  I was inspired by reading her posts each week to write one similar last week called *LOVE*.
I so enjoyed doing the *LOVE* post that I think I might make it a regular event.  Not sure yet but we shall see.  It won’t be on a specific day because, well I have too many days devoted.  And I just can’t commit to that kind of pressure.  HAHA
I won’t however be restricting myself to only “Things” today like I did last time.  Just whatever comes to mind.  Yay!  (say Yay, you know you want to) 🙂
Here goes….
I *LOVE* that my ass is all healed!! YAY!!!  (what a freakin’ nightmare that shit was!) SHEEZ!
I *LOVE* that I got soooo many comments, emails, phone calls and messages from people telling me how much I was missed last week!  I was shocked and honored.  And now I have a big head.  Yay!!
I *LOVE* my Jacuzzi bathtub.  Yay!
I *LOVE* that we got all of the shopping done for Thanksgiving today!  No more crazy crowds.  Yay!
I *LOVE* that I got awards from AMAZING bloggers this week.  Thank you Carma Sez!  Thank you Stuperhero Extraordinaire!  And a very belated thank you to MommyBrain and Rudy Family Rukus!   All are great, please check them out.  Yay!
I *LOVE* that someone rushed out of Wal-Mart with such hunger to getiton that they just whipped ripped their “Ecstasy” Trojans out of the box and left the box in the parking lot.  Yay!
I *LOVE* that I stopped to take a picture of the empty Trojan Box thinking ahead that I just had to share my jealousy excitement with all you poor, unsuspecting readers.  *grin* Yay!
I *LOVE* Entourage!! I just started watching it and have made it through to the middle of season 4.  I can’t believe I ever missed this show!!  It is sooooo good!  Yay!!
I *LOVE* that the weather is finally getting cooler.  Wearing long pants is much more socially acceptable when you go 4 weeks without shaving. Haha  Yay!!
I *LOVE* that December is so close now I can taste it!  Because it means TWO things that I *LOVE* are coming.  #1 The holidays!  (and my house gets uber awesome decos for the holidays) And #2 our next round of injections!!  Yay!
I *LOVE* these Suds.  If anyone knows how I can get in touch with them so that they can come to my shower and entertain cheer me on I would surely appreciate it!  Yay!
I *LOVE* Saying YAY!!!!!  🙂
Ruhroh Rorge! Random is as Random Does! RTT
randomtuesday
If you want to play along with Random Tuesday Thoughts, go here to get the widget and add your name to Mr. Linky.
I am so glad it is RTT because my brain is SOOOO random right now it is nauseating.  You have been warned.  Huge Randomness comin’ at ya.
As a matter of fact, my super overactive brain has caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep lately.  Every night when I think I am tired enough, I go crawl into bed and then as if on cue my brain starts going a million miles an hour.  With LOTS of stuff.  From the mundane like the fact that for over a week now, I keep forgetting to buy myself toothpaste and at any moment I will not be able to brush my teeth without using toddler Vewwy Bewwy paste… to the super critical decision making like Christmas with the family and baby making.  (Not in that order)  If this keeps up, they are going to put me in a padded cell.  Which I guess will be ok, just as long as Jill is in the padded room next to me. *grin*
The lack of sleep has a lot to do with the memory foam mattress that we have that I hate with a passion dislike.  It has screwed up my back and neck.  (Even worse than it was screwed up before I got the stupid annoying bed.)  So tomorrow I am going to have a massage!!  WOOHOO!  Pamper me baby for one full hour! YES!
Oh, I almost forgot!  Speaking of Jill, she had a ackward fantabulous giveaway yesterday, which I apparently won, even though I didn’t know I entered.  Please click here to check out my creepy amazing prize.  It’s guaranteed to give you the willies make you laugh!  No, seriously… HEELARIOUS.  Must see. *wink*
Hubby is sick and is staying home tomorrow…. err today.  (I am writing this Monday night in my insomnia fog… go figure).  I just hope it isn’t the flu.  Or the piglet flu either.  Cause both would suck.  Not to mention, it would REALLY suck (for him) if he has to sleep on the back porch as to not infect the rest of us.  And Monkey will totally back me on this.  We will just wave at him from the backdoor.  And hurl chicken soup from a window.
Can you take too much Airborne?  I hope not.  I had 5 of them yesterday, and plan to take probably the same amount today.  And I have made Monkey wash his hands 239841032985 times since he woke up.
Funny conversation with Hubby about Supper plans on Sunday:
Hubby:  What’s for dinner?
Me:  Brinner.
Hubby:  What the heck is brinner?
Me:  Brinner?  It’s breakfast.  Breakfast for dinner?  Brinner?  Get it?
Hubby:  HaHaHa, that’s funny!  I never heard that before.
Me:  Really? Well I didn’t make it up so I can’t take credit.
Hubby:  How come it’s not called Brupper?
Me:  HAHAHAHAHA!!
He cracks me up.
I finally got all of the bugs MURDERED in our house.  YAY!!  And wouldn’t you know it, Danny, that I talked about here and here NEVER called and NEVER showed up!  How insane is that?!?!  Total lack of respect.  Irritates the shit out of me!  I can’t figure out how businesses stay in business with these customer service skills.  It baffles me.
I was browsing MckMama‘s photography website yesterday and she has this song playing.  It is A la Claire Fontaine from the movie The Painted Veil.  Which was an awesome movie, imo.  Anyhoo… I just keep hearing this song over and over and over in my head.  So of course I had to get it on iTunes.  It is so beautiful.
I got this picture message with this note on my cell phone yesterday from my Dad.
downsized951023090938Pic of Ruhroh driving out of our lives for the last time.  Sniff.
That was the car I learned to drive in.  Astro Mini Van.  The coolest of the cool.  The license plates said Ruhroh.  To this day it is the only car I have ever been able to parallel park.  Shut up!
I totally cried when I got the text.  Weird?  Perhaps.  But it makes me sad to know that it is gone.  All four of us kids drove that car over the years.  I remember the fun we used to have in it on long car rides up to the mountains.  There was only a bench seat (not enough space for 4 kids) so we put 2 bean bags in the way back for seats.  Seat belts?  We don’ need no stinkin’ seat belts!
It makes me sad.  Times they are a changin.  *sigh*
What do you think of my new signature? I got bored of the old one.  I really want to redo my blog page again, but I am soooo bad at that!  And I don’t know anyone who designs WordPress blogs.  It seems everyone does Blogger ones.  How lame is that?  Yes, April, I am talking to you! LOL
Day One of the Kick Ass Daily Photo Blog!
My husband has been pressuring me hinting to me that I should begin my Daily Photo Blog again.  I used to do this when I first began to get into photography.  I stopped because it became time consuming and actually a bit draining.  So I am starting it up again.  With no promise that I won’t quit again some day.  That’s right, I’m a quitter.  Sometimes. 😀
I thought it would be fitting to have my first Daily Photo Blog be this picture.  This is the first picture I ever took with my Photographer hat on.  I decided I wanted to start doing some photography.  Hubby bought me a great new Canon camera for Christmas to get started with.  The day after Christmas, we went to shop in Cherry Creek (in Colorado).  They had an ice skating rink there.  This was the first blur picture that I ever took and saw great beauty in.  It is to this day one of my favorite shots ever.
Skating-love-1
I have always gotten mixed reviews on this shot.  But I love everything about it.
about moi…
Hi, my name is Cass. I am married to an amazing man who loves me unconditionally. I’m a stay at home mom to a rockin’ 2 year old boy who I call Monkey. I have an 12 year old step-daughter who lives in another state. We miss her daily. We also have two fur babies, Daisy and Jazz, who keep us on our toes. They are awesome!
I am a complete goofball, a photographer and a constant out loud thinker. I am a grammar challenged, vulgar, cursing, sex obsessed Big Mama fumbling through life. Among other things, I battle PCOS causing infertility, Bi Polar, Anxiety and OCD.
Currently I am riding the fertility roller coaster in an attempt to make Monkey #2. This blog is about a little of everything. I hope you enjoy. Read at your own risk!
