No, I didn’t drop off the planet. Yes I am still alive. I swear some of ya’ll send the most dramatic emails!! And for the record… if I died… do you REALLY expect me to return your email to let you know what happened?!?!? hahahaha
Things have been crazy in my life lately. SOOOO much has happened. I know I haven’t been around much for about the last 6 months but I have some good reasons.
First we had a big move in November. We moved from Wisconsin back to Denver where we planned to finally settle down and stop traveling. That in of itself was a complex situation. For one, I hadn’t worked in 2 years and was on a quest for a new job. Luckily, one happened to pretty much fall into my lap by December. I started working for a great company in mid December.
Then we got pregnant! For those of you who do not know, I have PCOS and it has hindered our ability to get pregnant. So after 4 ½ years of trying and lots of fertility aids we finally were pregnant. We were ecstatic. Besides being pretty sick and tired all of the time, it was a very happy time. However, at 12 ½ weeks, we lost the pregnancy. Then to make matters worse, I found out that I had cervical cancer. There is no reason to believe that the cancer caused the miscarriage but I think that it was because my body knew there were other things that I needed to take care of first. Who knows. So after all is said and done, I had my surgery to remove the cancer on April 13th (Friday the 13th) and viola! I am cancer free. Thank goodness. Then we had to put our 13 year old cat to sleep. (I see a theme of 13’s in here) Which I don’t wish on my worst enemy. I was a MESS! I am such a wuss when it comes to animals. God help me if something happens to my gorgeous Jazzy girl.
So, there is all the news in a nut shell. I have been thru a lot, I lived, I just didn’t have much time for myspace. Get it?!?! :o)
Now a new twist in the story… We are moving out of Colorado again. For a four year project. And you will never guess where… ok don’t laugh… promise? Ok ok… it’s Texarkana. But it is a fantastic opportunity for us both and we are really excited about it. I quit my great job and will now be employed with my husbands company (again) for this new project. We are going to be there to build an Ultra Super Critical Coal Fired Power Plant. Say THAT ten times fast!! Haha Well of course we are not going to be “building” it by ourselves. And, I won’t actually have anything to do with the building and constructing of this massive structure, but I will be there to watch and enjoy. I love that shizzle. Hehe (my new fav word)
As far as photography… yes, I am still shooting but very rarely. I just don’t seem to have the drive and interest that I used to have with it. I am going to get back in though. I think I was feeling a little overwhelmed with things so I am going full steam ahead now. :o) So stay tuned for some picture blogs to come soon. I am hoping in the next couple days I will have something posted.
Aaaannnnnnd… we are trying to get pregnant again and could really use all your thoughts, prayers and positive vibes! I am really optimistic about everything and actually, quite impressed with myself the last few months. Lord knows I have dealt with a lot in my short life, but I wish I could say I handled it all as well as I have handled recent events. Maybe I am just growing up……… Nah!! :o)
How are ya’ll?!??! I sure missed ya! Let me know what I have missed over the last six months. Link me to the best blogs that I missed!!
